Hello,
I had a question. I plan on getting a new laptop, but I want to swap the SSD from my old Lenovo laptop just to make sure I have all my data still. I was wondering, if I put it in the new laptop, will it delete all the old Lenovo drivers and download the new ones? Or do I need to do some process prior to putting it into the new one?

This isn't a good idea at all.
It's not even worth a little bit.
First, the new laptop comes with its own operating system and license.
Second, transferring a drive plus OS between systems, especially laptops, usually doesn't work and often results in failure.
Third, you should copy your data to another storage device, like a USB drive, as a backup.
