Whenever my fans begin spinning, they produce a noise. This occurs only when they start from idle. I recorded it using my phone, and you can hear the sound around 0:02 in the video. Is this just a typical startup sound for the fans, or should I be worried about something being wrong? It's a Lenovo Legion 5 2020. View: https://youtu.be/IpncQwp3CEg

It seems the fan could be touching a cable or there might be some debris. Consider opening the laptop to check for buildup near the vents. Regarding the fans, if temperatures remain acceptable during increased usage, you likely won't need to be concerned.

I opened up the laptop and everything looks okay (it's a brand new one). The temperatures are normal, but when I run certain programs, the CPU gets warmer and the fans begin to spin. The noise only starts when the fans activate.

You're experiencing the same problem with Legion 5. There are no updates available at this time.

No, I could be mistaken. It seems the fans begin rapidly and then decelerate. This issue might be addressed in upcoming system updates.
