I faced a confusing problem with my PC following the installation of a new power supply unit. At first, everything worked well after stress tests. But after roughly an hour of use, the fans—possibly the PSU fan—started spinning at full speed, producing a loud noise that suggested an imminent failure. Worried, I powered off the system immediately.

After turning it back on, I saw a white light on the motherboard and no display output. Switching the display cable from the GPU to the motherboard resolved the issue, allowing the PC to boot normally. However, when I reverted the cable back to the GPU, the fan accelerated again excessively, prompting another shutdown. Eventually, the PC began running through the GPU, and the problem recurred.

I’m unsure what caused this. It might be linked to the PSU, GPU, or motherboard, and I’m concerned about possible damage. I’d appreciate any advice on the cause or solutions.

I believe I was running 1402, and I'm curious about whether updating the BIOS would assist here. It seems the problem only appeared after replacing the PSU. Still, it's worth trying and having an updated BIOS is a smart move.
