Question Strange issue with light settings on the Logitech keyboard?
Good evening everyone!
I recently purchased a Logitech G815 keyboard. I'm using the ECHO PRESS light mode on it (G Hub). I noticed that when I press ALT + TAB or WIN + TAB, only ALT and WIN have the color effect. The other way around and just TAB works fine. Why is that?
It's a minor detail, but as a perfectionist it bothers me. I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask Logitech about, so I ended up here. 😁
Thank you for your help!
I’m not entirely sure about the question, but the main points are clear.
Each key press sends a unique code to the software.
If two keys are needed, the system follows the sequence correctly.
The order isn’t critical; once parsed, the same action occurs.
If the input is ALT + TAB or TAB + ALT, then Color Effect equals _____.
(This is just an example; not actual code.)
For more details, you can check the Wikipedia page on using the ALT key.
I meant that pressing a key alters its hue for a set duration before reverting to the original shade. However, with ALT + TAB or WIN + TAB, only ALT or WIN changes the color. The PRINT SCREEN function also doesn't modify the color. When I press ALT or WIN individually, it behaves as expected.
It appears the color effect from G Hub isn't functioning with Windows commands.
I recorded a video to illustrate this behavior. You can observe the LEDs shifting from white to blue upon pressing.
Are you relying on the standard options or are you employing some tailored configurations through the G Hub? Are there additional programs installed that might be altering key behavior or modifying keyboard layouts? For instance:

And numerous comparable resources are available.
The goal is to understand the expected response when keys are pressed and assess how it aligns with the actual outcome.
I suggest removing G Hub entirely and beginning anew. Implement a straightforward adjustment and confirm it is preserved through a clear "Ok", "Save" or "Yes" action.
If the adjustment functions correctly, proceed with further tweaks.
