no, only partially disassembled (just opened for cleaning, which worked without any problems after or shortly after either of the two cleanings).
they cleaned the exhaust, exhaust mesh, removed dust from the fans, and used a vacuum/blower to push air away from electronic parts, then wiped with a microfiber cloth.
both cleanings occurred about 8 months apart, and the most recent one was over a year ago.
there were no falls or hard contact with objects, and no heating problems either (temperatures are consistently monitored during gaming, but it’s not necessary unless you want to check).
i don’t use another operating system, but would you say loading into bios is treating it as a bypass to rule out software issues? I’ve seen the blue lines when hovering over options in the bios menu.
recently, I used lenovo’s diagnostic tool display features, and it showed something unusual during color purity tests—red, blue, green, black, and white all appeared perfectly fine, with no bleeding or distortion. The lines didn’t show up at all. However, in the “monochromic mesh” mode, where dots are displayed, the lines become visible (more prominent near the top, fading toward the bottom, almost none at the lower part).
i’ve noticed similar color blocks in my drawing software (like grey or dark blue) that make horizontal lines stand out, which is bothersome.
i believe the bios were updated about a week ago, but I’m wondering if this could be a bios-related issue that might be fixed soon.
i’m not sure about hardware damage, but it seems less likely given the device’s ability to display pure colors. Hardware problems tend to affect all colors equally and would show up regardless of the screen content.
also, the problem isn’t limited to the screen—other strange behaviors include loss of 60hz options in windows settings and a jump from 144hz to 144.02, plus a persistent non-PNP device appearance with a ghost profile that appears every time I check CRU (even after deleting all and resetting the laptop not connected to external monitors).
is there a more effective way to verify which drivers or updates were installed or affected between 12/30 and 12/31?
also please confirm whether you can see the horizontal lines mentioned, or if the font in the pictures is clearer than before.

You merely obtain a Live Linux distribution (ISO) and employ an application such as Rufus to transfer the image onto a USB stick. After that, start from that device. Your Windows setup remains unchanged since the operating system operates from the USB and system memory.

after roughly thirteen months since the final cleaning, i’m not sure it’s impossible, though it seems improbable. i plan to open it up for cleaning as soon as i finish my exams. i want to know what to watch out for or try. so far, i’ve only collected notes about unplugging the battery from the motherboard and holding the power button for about a minute to discharge any static charge. keep in mind that on the day the problem started, everything was fine—i was drawing and closely examining the canvas on the laptop screen. it shut down after a few minutes, but remained plugged into the outlet via a non-crowded extension cord, which was designed to avoid short circuits or static damage. from 10 am to 5 pm, the issue appeared, then disappeared at around 6 pm. i haven’t completely eliminated the possibility of a hardware problem, but nothing so clear has emerged yet. especially since the purity color test results were very clean, with no messy dots. i still don’t understand why my ghost monitor profile keeps appearing, why i can’t adjust the refresh rate anymore, and why it’s stuck at 144.02 instead of 144 hz—all these seem to be monitor-related issues. i often check for updates, suspecting a conflict between windows and bios updates or even a flawed latest bios. this happened a few weeks ago after updating bios; the bsod didn’t come back, so i didn’t notice it. [about three to four weeks ago]

unfortunately, after conducting extensive research, I discovered over 3500+ forum discussions on Lenovo's website regarding issues with the Lenovo Loq, IdeaPad, and Legion series monitors. these posts mention the same monitor experiencing horizontal line problems or other similar symptoms. fortunately, users with active warranties had their devices replaced, but many reported recurring issues with the replaced models during different usage periods—primarily within the first two weeks, three months, or the first year of ownership. it’s quite disheartening.

it might still be possible to resolve the problem through an update or time, though it seems highly unlikely. i’m considering reselling the laptop until further updates or fixes are available. happy new year to everyone!
