I've had to swap out a dead motherboard recently, picked up an Asus PRIME A320M-K and installed a fresh Windows 11 system. After updating Windows and the GPU, I connected my speakers to the green 'line out' audio jack. The speakers were detected, but when playing videos the volume bar moves without any sound output. The built-in monitor speaker works fine. Connecting speakers via USB functions, though the audio sounds muffled and lower quality is apparent right away. I reviewed the drivers, noting that the Windows versions are newer than the motherboard's sound drivers, so I'm hesitant to adjust them yet. Screenshots of the Device Manager are attached.

Uncertain about next steps. I considered getting a Creative SoundBlaster to try and resolve the issue.

Let me know if you need more detailed info; I'll check back in a few hours.

Adjust the audio output to use the default device in Windows Sound settings. The BIOS appears to be current. Is the Nahimic app on your Windows system installed?
