Hello everyone,
I updated my bios a few days ago and since then I've experienced a significant slowdown in boot time. Previously it was fast—10 to 15 seconds—but now it's three to four times slower, sometimes even longer. I adjusted some settings in the bios, enabled fast boot, and even installed a fresh Windows installation (which is currently running with nothing else installed). I tested by disconnecting the HDDs; they booted quickly, only a couple of seconds, but when plugged back in it became very slow.

My current setup is:
ROG Strix x570E Gaming Wifi II
5950x
4x 32GB G skill Trident Z
ROG Strix 3090 OC Edition
Corsair RM1000W

Any suggestions on what might be causing this issue?
Thanks!

Do you need to change the BIOS version to fix a problem or gain a feature? If not, is there a way to revert it?

All HDDs are linked through SATA directly to the motherboard. I've been looking into this topic often, and it was suggested to turn on Memory Context Restore in the BIOS. It seems to improve boot time, but I can't locate that setting in the X570E Gaming Wifi II BIOS.

Yeah, I've got Adaptec array controllers that can postpone the spin-up until after the system boots, but this isn't typical on most motherboards. In the HDD boot list, you can ensure none of those drives appear in the possible boot sequence. Otherwise, I'd likely revert to the previous BIOS unless absolutely necessary.
