Overclocking advice! I own a B450-I AORUS PRO WIFI and Ryzen 5 Six Core 2600, still new to this process. I’m looking for guidance on a minor boost. The current boost clock is 3.9 MHz. Would it be safe to try setting the cooler to that speed? I assume it could reach 3.9 MHz with the stock cooler, so locking it there might work.

I just tried it and will check the results. With the overclocked setup, running a prime95, small FFT, and stress test will show how high the CPU temperatures get. I believe it won’t be good enough unless you tweak the fan curves to make the fans spin very fast. Then you’ll need to figure out what to do—maybe it’s okay if regular use doesn’t push the CPU all the way up in temperature.

Noctua also offers some quiet, low-profile coolers that are expensive. I’m not sure if they actually cool better than others. Since your motherboard is mITX, a quiet, compact cooler would be ideal. If not, there are plenty of choices available.
