Hello
as mentioned in the title, I had an old Windows 10 Pro system that I upgraded from Windows 8. Recently, I built a new PC and wanted to transfer the key, but when using the command to remove it from my current machine, it doesn’t activate on the new one (it shows it’s not valid). I’m trying to figure out how to fix this.

The command to delete it from your previous setup actually does nothing other than notifying that old system of losing its license.
It doesn’t communicate with the activation server farm.
When you access your MS account, do the old system and license show up there?
If yes, you might be able to instruct it to apply to the new system.

I logged out and removed my older PC from the Microsoft account, thinking it might be the cause. I’m also using the same PC with a local account. I tried using the same key on this machine, and it activated (Windows 10). It worked a few months ago, but now it doesn’t function properly. I haven’t been able to reach Microsoft, who keep sending me messages without any real contact.
