Intel i7 9700k
16gb corsair ram
I’ve been experiencing this strange problem where my frame rates drop instantly, my GPU gets too cold, and it impacts all games until I restart my PC.
I’ve tested 3DMark before and after a restart, and the scores changed dramatically. My GPU drivers are up to date, and Windows 10 is also current.

PSU is a Gold 700w from stay quiet, I think. The GPU and CPU are cold during issues, suggesting the system isn't being used properly. RAM usage is normal; I have two HDDs and an M2 drive in my setup. I might run a malware scan, but I've set exceptions for my Steam games because Kaspersky keeps closing them randomly.

the malware checks showed no signs of infection, which means it's not that serious. this problem began just a week ago too.

it just occurred once more while playing state of decay 2; my frame rate dropped from 90 to 45 and didn’t recover, and afterward all my games performed poorly until I restarted. I really need assistance diagnosing this problem since I’m unsure where to begin fixing it.

if everything looks fine, try using a different PSU

I performed several system scans and identified corrupted files. I resolved the issues, and everything appears stable now.
