Question Random restart occurs following PC relocation
Question Random restart occurs following PC relocation
Hello, I'm working on fixing an issue with my PC. It keeps rebooting unexpectedly while using Windows, and the Event Viewer shows error 41. During travel, I had to move my PC in a suitcase, which forced me to remove every component and package them separately. This was necessary for the PSU and motherboard, but since they were kept inside the case, I suspect a fault with either part. Despite replacing the PSU, the problem continues.
I've tried:
- Installing a different PSU
- Stress testing CPU and GPU
- Updating GPU drivers
- Running chkdsk
- Using Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool
All tests passed, and temperatures are normal. The reboots happen even when I'm not doing anything specific—like playing games or just idling.
I'm thinking about replacing the motherboard, but I want to confirm if that's the real issue. Any advice would be appreciated!
verify that every cable is securely connected, each part is correctly positioned, and all fasteners are fully tightened.
I noticed you encounter Windows error 41 during reboots in the Event Viewer. I added it to the initial message.
I plan to check the cables again, but I've removed and reinstalled components multiple times—still facing the same issue, so it doesn’t seem to be the main problem.
I would like to test if the issue arises by shaking the case or relocating cables. This could worsen the problem and help identify the cause.
