Question Random PC crashing during high intensive games
Hello, I've been engaging in high-intensity games like Rust recently. Over time, I sometimes encounter a blue screen or the app shutting down unexpectedly. I'm not sure if this is because of overheating, though my CPU temperatures stay below 90°C and usually around 80°C, while my GPU stays under 60°C most of the time. My motherboard and CPU were recently replaced. In a previous discussion, I experienced similar issues where my mouse, keyboard, monitor, and system would turn off during games. Changing the motherboard and CPU resolved it. Could this be related to faulty RAM or a GPU problem? If so, could you suggest any tests or provide error logs to assist further? I also checked the Event Viewer and noticed a critical kernel-power event during a severe error, but it only indicated a system reboot without a clean shutdown. This might point to the system stopping responsively, crashing, or losing power unexpectedly.
You may want to pay attention to the VRM section on that motherboard. I wouldn't have installed a Ryzen 5950x there without a proper VRM setup. Actually, you should have chosen a more advanced board to go with your 5950x.
Hi, sorry about that. It was the A-II with 4 slots; I had two variants and I often get confused between them. I'm not sure if it's related to memory or GPU. I switched from my RTX 3070TI to a 1650 Super, and it's been working well without any crashes, but I'm still unsure what might be causing the issue.
