The system either stops completely with frozen screens that remain stuck until a hard restart, or it crashes with a black screen and restarts. Recently, we received random BSOD logs, mostly during gameplay, about once a day.

Components: All new except PSU, GPU, and CPU. No issues with these in previous builds.
MSI MEG z690 ACE - (Updated to latest BIOS, no success)
Important DDR5 5600, XMP1
(Memtest 2x, no faults detected)
C:/ drive Crucial 4TB T700 with cooling fan (operates hotly at around 56°C during web browsing)
-- Previous parts used from my working setup --
D: Gaming drive/Samsung Evo 870 4TB (HDD health at 54% with 596 bad sectors, no installation, just games)
12900k, stock performance
EVGA 3080Ti
1000W power supply
My instinct points to the Crucial T700 because it overheats excessively. Or possibly a software problem.
Error logs: All others required a forced reset; only one other error appeared – “bad shutdown.”

what make/model of the PSU?
PCIe 4 drives require... what airflow are you experiencing? Are the temperatures within normal ranges? Have you recently cleaned the fans?

I located my PCIe 3 drive on a 55 model without much difficulty. This usually indicates I should boost the exhaust fan speed.

- mainly for me
I dislike my Win 10 VM; every time I power it up to convert a dump, it has to run a lengthy Windows update. It takes about an hour to perform a simple dump conversion...

File: 020121-17796-01.dmp (Feb 2 2021 - 06:50:06)
BugCheck: [KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1E)]
Likely caused by memory corruption (Process: System)
Uptime: 0 Day(s), 14 Hour(s), 13 Min(s), 38 Sec(s)
The dump doesn’t give much insight for me.
Someone with more experience will follow, but I thought I’d take a look.

ssgdio64.sys
ATI Diagnostics Hardware Abstraction System driver
Wondering if this is part of the chipset drivers—I don’t have it on my machine...
Consider updating the chipset drivers:
https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/b550
Also, check for Nvidia drivers (released from 2021).
It could be any driver since they’re all outdated.
Um, your dump suggests a Ryzen system, but the description says Intel—something doesn’t add up here.
I tried running it twice, thinking I might have made a mistake.

Windows linked an old dump from 2021. I went to /minidump/ and updated it with the new one. It looks different now. The message also shows "IP_MISALIGNED_nvlddmkm.sys," which some say points to a GPU issue. I tried DDU and a new driver, but since the driver is brand new, I'm not sure it's a driver problem. I ran the driver verifier and haven't seen any BSODs yet.
