Hi, I'm trying to figure out what's going on with my PC. I suspect I might be on the right track, but I'm unsure about the search terms and the results aren't quite what I expected. My system had an issue with Windows during the first installation—it split between the SSD and HDD. Recently, I managed to upgrade to Windows 11. I removed the HDD and formatted the SSD. Now I'm installing Windows 11 on the SSD (the HDD is still connected).

While setting up and booting, the PC would suddenly shut down after a few minutes. I had the BIOS feature enabled but turned it off during the troubleshooting. I noticed a pattern: it would shut down after about two minutes and then restart immediately, skipping the BIOS setup. When I first turned it on again, all the icons appeared white, but after the restart everything worked properly.

My guess is this could be related to a system check. It seems to follow a specific sequence—turning on for 5 seconds, then shutting down and restarting—but now it's taking two minutes instead of five. Is there a solution to shorten that delay? Could it be connected to RAM or another component?

Details about the hardware:
- Motherboard: tuf B450-pro gaming
- CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X
- GPU: RTX 2060
- RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2X8GB (type not specified)
- SSD: Intel 660p 1TB
- HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5 inches (ROM unknown)
- PSU: Corsair RLM650X
- GPU cooler: Deepcool Castle 240 v2
- Case: Cooper Master K500 RGB
- Notes: I'm not sure if the RAM is 3600 or 3800, but it's not my first PC. I wanted a Ryzen 7 and an RTX card, which turned out to be a big mistake.

If anyone has any insights or suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. If I need further clarification, I'll let you know. Thanks to everyone!

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
Motherboard: tuf B450-pro gaming
What BIOS version do you have installed?
Power Supply: Corsair rm650x
How recent is your PSU?
Where did you obtain the OS installer? If I were you, I'd turn off X.M.P/D.O.C.P and PBO, keep BIOS in UEFI mode (CSM disabled), reformat the SSD, reinstall the OS offline, then manually add all platform drivers via the elevated command—right-click the installer and run as Administrator.
After installing OS and drivers, return to BIOS and enable X.M.P/D.O.C.P, Secure Boot, and Fast Boot.

Thank you, I'll give it another shot.
Regarding the BIOS version, I don't recall it exactly, but I've installed the newest one I could find about a month ago; I can check again when I get back home.
For the D.O.C.P, I forgot to disable it, so I'll try that now.
The PSU should be the 2018 model, which I have since the build, making it almost six years old.
I also lowered the GPU voltage and didn't reset it either, but I believe the SSD should be restored to normal after formatting with MSI Afterburner.
