Question: PC not booting, unsure if the issue is with the motherboard or the CPU?
I constructed this compact portable device two years ago, then stored it away. Now it fails to boot. It was an old office machine; I upgraded it with a new power supply and graphics card. When it powers on, lights flicker on instead of playing audio, and the speaker remains silent for beeps. I checked everything—replaced RAM, removed the CMOS battery, tested various components—but nothing worked except the CPU. That’s all I managed to do before.
I created this compact portable build two years ago. When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide full system details. Please list the specifications in the following order:
CPU: CPU cooler: Motherboard: RAM: SSD/HDD: GPU: PSU: Chassis: OS: Monitor: Include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time. I upgraded the PSU and GPU, including their makes and models.
