Hello,
I was curious about the possibility of adding an overlay to non-proprietary software—meaning a program without source code access.
When I mentioned an overlay, I wasn’t just referring to color adjustments, but to something more substantial:
our current software is designed to function across various countries and companies with differing regulations, taxes, etc.
The issue lies in the present version; we can’t set up a profile for a particular company or nation, which forces us to repeatedly verify details depending on the context. This not only wastes time but also risks missing specific tax obligations unique to certain firms in certain regions.
I would like to implement a solution where entering a company name or country automatically applies the correct taxes without manual checks.
However, since we don’t own the source code, we’re limited to minor adjustments.
Could you consider creating an overlay that operates “on top” of the software? That way, changes could still be made without direct access.
