Question Overclocking with Intel Performance Maximizer and XMP?
It is highly advised to increase the clock speed in the BIOS rather than using software, particularly for RAM.
I didn't actually overclock the RAM since it's listed as 3600, though it defaults to 2133. The same applies to the processor—just set to 3600 via BIOS.
Enable XMP first, ensuring stability. Verify your base and load temperatures. Begin with a 0.3 GHz multiplier adjustment—this is straightforward. Keep an eye on temperatures and continue testing for stability to establish a comfortable range. After that, fine-tune the next step when you feel confident; note that you might need 1.35V for RAM and consider slightly increasing core voltage during overclocking. The challenge with software OC lies in depending on numerous parameters you can't directly manage.
