some similar specifications for overclocking vega8 with stock cooler.
can voltage remain set to auto in bios while overclocking? Would it be better to stick with auto mode?

It depends on your motherboard's features, you can configure XMP profile to enhance graphics performance.

Issue with voltage on Auto is that it tends to push it to 1.4-1.5v my PC, I did the same and it pushed out 1.5v so I did it manually. Now my brother has a stock 2400g and his voltage was 1.425, I downscaled it to 1.2v over the weekend and she's running fine. If you manually set your voltage, there are many guides on how to do it safely.
