Hi, can you overclock the CPU A8 6500? If not, what methods can you use to raise the multiplier to 39 or 40? I tried AMD OVERDRIVE but it only sets it to 35 and doesn’t change. Do I need to adjust the BIOS settings? My PC is an HP 705 G1.

I tested the program QuickCPU and increased the speed setting to 39-41. Is this considered a way to increase performance or a turbo boost?

That is turbo boosting. Not overclocking. Overclocking is making your CPU (or whatever you are overclocking) run faster than the turbo speed. If you did set your multiplier to lets say 45, then yes, that would be an overclock. But in your case it is not. It's just a turbo boost.
