Hi all.
I just purchased an Asrock z390 Extreme4 and 9700k. I adjusted the multiplier to x49 and fixed the voltage at 1.35V.
When I begin the AIDA 64 FPU test, the temperatures rise (weak cooler), but the main issue is that the voltage increases to 1.42V?
How can I bring it back to 1.35V?
The BIOS version is 2.30.
Tnx.

The most recent BIOS version is 4.00. Please tell me about the aftermarket cooling solution you're using and provide the make and model of your case and power supply unit.

You could make some minor adjustments to the voltage using Intel's XTU, incorporating Core Voltage Offset... Understand that choosing a specific voltage during idle might not suffice when under heavy load, or alternatively, changing the voltage at load could cause it to rise significantly during idle... Does Asrock offer MCE mode similar to Asus? Given that the top turbo of 9700K already runs at 4.9 GHz, it seems possible that MCE or core turbo under load at 4.9 GHz could still be possible within a Balanced Power plan, provided only minor adjustments to core voltage are made...

The issue originated from the asrock OC software. I uninstalled it and performed all tasks in BIOS. Now I'm running 4.4 GHz at 1.19V on all cores. I'm using my old cooler from a previous Core i5 (Zalman CNPS5X Performance). I understand it's weak, but it should work for the next 3-4 days. I'm currently at 60°C while gaming and streaming.
