I moved my old 4770k / Z97-E to a larger case with an upgraded heatsink.
Bios was reset.
My 10-year-old notes mention this could relate to the older Z87-A board that received an RMA or the newer Z97-E board.
CPU multiplier: 45
Vcore: 1.229
Cache multiplier: 41
Cache voltage: 1.186
VCCIN: 1.78
Prime95 and Aida64 aren’t passing with AVX enabled above 4.3GHz, even at full speed (still reaching 91°C).
I think a change was needed to avoid voltage spikes and reduce Vcore during idle... possibly involving LLC and SVID?
Anyone recall the settings that should have been adjusted for these boards?

The VRM and caps on the board might not be suitable anymore due to the rig's age.

This is possible but unlikely.
