No, you don't have to reinstall Windows. If the OS has always functioned with AMD CPUs, simply remove the chipset drivers (using revo uninstaller if you prefer) and install the newest ones. I've used various CPUs on different boards with the same Windows, and it works flawlessly. Windows doesn't pay much attention to the CPU or motherboard. Reinstalling after every hardware change is mainly for those who are overly worried about losing 2 fps in COD.
