Hi
While playing God of War Ragnarok and Avowed I observed some unusual textures in certain areas. In GoW, only water displayed these effects. In Avowed, I saw similar mesh patterns on waterfalls, spider webs, and often around shadows. It seems these issues appeared only in these two titles. I’m curious if it’s due to the games themselves, their settings, or perhaps the graphics card.

Current setup:
-Gigabyte b650 gaming x v2
-7800x3d
-RTX 4070 Palit Jetstream
-32gb DDR5 6000mhz GOODRAM
-PSU SPC SUPREMO V2 550W
- Kioxia Exceria 500gb
- SSD Crucial mx500 1 TB
- Acer 1440p 27" Monitor

Using DLSS with slight GPU undervolting (without DLSS) and default GPU settings makes the textures appear unchanged.

SCREENS:
GoW
Avowed 1
Avowed 2

If I were you, I would consider a PSU with 650W or more for your entire setup. Besides the two models mentioned earlier, do you notice this on other products? Check if you're using BIOS version X for your motherboard by running DDU to clear all GPU drivers (Intel, AMD, Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then install the newest driver from Nvidia's support site manually in an elevated command. To my observation, it seems like a graphical issue.

I only observed it in these two games. It just coincided with playing them one after another, which is why I noticed it. Before that, I had finished Silent Hill 2 Remake, Re4 remake, or Spiderman and didn’t see anything similar. Right now I’m playing PES 21 or FIFA 16 and nothing like that happens in these games. Regarding the power supply: the computer uses 300W while running. During the OCCT test it peaked at 350W, leaving some capacity (I have a voltmeter connected). As for the drivers, a few days ago I switched from AM4 to AM5 and did a C format; the system, drivers, etc., are fresh and up to date. On the previous setup these unusual textures also appeared, so the BIOS version might not be the cause either.

Another recent title following God of War Ragnarok and Avowed caught my attention for unusual mesh details on certain objects. I captured the screen at top settings with DLSS quality in 1440p resolution. I'm beginning to suspect there might be an issue with the graphics card. Additionally, I test older games such as FIFA 16 or the latest Resident Evil 6 and this problem doesn't appear there.
