Hello, over the past 1.5 weeks, occasionally when I pressed the left mouse button to choose something on the screen, it didn't respond. For instance, clicking a tab in a browser wouldn't work. Pressing the Windows icon in the taskbar also didn't trigger any action. Clicking files on the desktop similarly failed to respond. Today, the system even restarted itself while I was using it. What might be causing this? I believe it isn't related to the mouse issue.

Today the device restarted itself during my use. When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide complete system details. Please format the specifications as follows: CPU, CPU cooler, Motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, PSU, Chassis, OS, Monitor. Include the PSU age along with its make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this time. To check if the mouse problem is with the device, try moving the mouse to another system or laptop and observe if the left-click issue repeats.

The left mouse button can malfunction frequently.
It is the primary button on the mouse, and it might stop working over time.
Test:
Shift the mouse to another computer.
Use a different mouse on this one.
What occurs?

For reference: what is the make and model of the mouse? How closely are they connected?

The instructions mention whether the mouse requires a special driver and what to do if wireless settings are involved. If an updated driver is needed, locate it. For registry adjustments, access the specified key and remove any entries other than mouclass before saving and deleting. Restart the system to verify if the problem persists.
