I'm attempting to swap a PSU from a Dell pre-built unit (AC290EM-01). The challenge is the non-standard connectors. To assist, I need to identify the connector types or PSU model. There are two connectors: one 8-pin main connector, which should match a motherboard's 24-pin slot, and one 4-pin connector resembling a CPU interface. I'm also aware that SATA power isn't listed, as an adapter sources power from the motherboard rather than the PSU directly.

AC290EM-01
The proprietary connectors lack specific naming conventions. The PSU's overall design resembles an ATX unit, yet the wiring from it is unique. It’s best to concentrate on the connector's structure and see if it aligns with an EPS or PCIe power connector. This image may be faded or partially exposed, but you should still be able to compare it with available connectors from other brands.

What is the reason for replacing the PSU? Has it stopped working, or are you seeking additional power?

It's good to know they are proprietary, so non-standard. The fan is very loud for up to 10 minutes after the PC starts up. I'm not planning to open the PSU, so a replacement seems necessary.

Are you sure the sound originates from the power supply unit? It's typical for the CPU cooler fan to start spinning when the computer boots up to initiate cooling.

The CPU and case fans were my initial assumptions. Sadly, the noise is originating from the power supply unit.

If you verify the PSU fan is failing, it’s best to swap it out promptly to avoid further damage, as the system will likely overheat and could crash soon after.

Certainly. That would be perfect. Nonetheless, I am limited to working with a predefined list of registered suppliers, which means I can't place orders from them.
