Question My Logitech C920 HD Pro webcam isn't functioning properly
I found it in the Device Manager, specifically in 'Audio Inputs and Outputs' and 'USB Devices'. However, it isn't listed under 'Cameras' (I don't have anything else there). It functioned in Windows 10, but the issue began after upgrading to Windows 11. Since Windows 11 was first released in October 2021, I can't revert back to the older version. The web cam includes a 'built-in' Device Driver, allowing voice communication but not video.
Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Have you verified that your chipset drivers are up to date? You might want to reinstall them using an elevated command. Have you attempted to install the webcam driver from here, in compatibility mode? Right-click the installer, select Properties, then go to the Compatibility tab and choose Windows X from the dropdown menu. What is your motherboard's make and model, along with its BIOS version?
I discovered another Logitech page that differs from the one you shared, where I could find the device driver information. Regarding the chipset drivers, Lenovo installed them during the computer's assembly. As for the motherboard and BIOS version, I'm curious about why. I keep seeing more users with the same webcam who either lack voice, video, or both. Microsoft needs to release an update soon.
I resolved it without the MS patch. Yet, while I appear on the webcam, people in Zoom can't see me. What am I missing now?
