Question My i7 and RAM are both underperforming - Specs Attached
As mentioned in the title, both my CPU and RAM show major underperformance. I've experienced notable slowdowns that seem independent of my internet connection, which remains stable. Performance drops are evident in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Breakpoint. I've tested both games with medium and low graphics settings, yet issues persist. Frequently, I encounter the "out of memory" warning, and the Task Manager always shows my RAM usage at full capacity.

GPU: Nvidia RTX 3070-Ti
SSD: WD Black SN770 NVMe PCIe M.2 1TB
RAM: Adata DDR4 3600 2x8GB
MBD: Ibuypower INTEL

It seems the BIOS setup was incomplete, leaving the system at factory settings. The memory type is DDR4, yet a faster DDR5 version might have been anticipated, resulting in a lower performance rating despite running slower at 2400MHz due to XMP not being activated in BIOS. The 16GB RAM capacity may fall short of expectations, possibly causing errors from memory issues or disk space constraints affecting virtual memory. After enabling XMP, it’s important to verify stability. Additionally, the GPU appears to be struggling with only 8GB of RAM, whereas benchmarks suggest 10 or 12GB should be required. The fp Nvidia control panel is installed with drivers and includes various presets that can be configured.
To locate the model of the PSU, you need to check the documentation or specifications provided with the unit.
Your 3600mhz ram is operating at 2400mhz.
Access BIOS and turn on XMP.
This suggests you're running low on RAM.
What are your virtual memory configurations?
