Hello there,
My laptop freezes unexpectedly and the mouse stops working completely. I'm not using any demanding programs or games; I just use it to browse the internet and watch videos with VLC player. Even when I try to shut it down, it freezes at the shutdown window. Sometimes it shows errors such as "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info and then we'll restart for you. Stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE." or sometimes "VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR."
Could you help?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer! Share your laptop's make and model along with its SKU. Could you verify the BIOS version and OS version you're using? We're currently running Windows 10 version 20H2. You may also want to check your GPU drivers—basic ones are available on your laptop's support site, but identifying your GPU type (Intel iGPU, AMD, or Nvidia) would be helpful.
