Question MSI Afterburner Alternative for Windows XP
Question MSI Afterburner Alternative for Windows XP
Are there any comparable tools for Windows XP that can be modified after using DirectXem 9.0c to overclock graphics cards? I need to upgrade my 2006 old PC with games and want to boost its performance, but MSI Afterburner isn't compatible. Can I configure automatic detection of CPU and RAM speeds instead of manual settings?
This is not true. I run a WinXP Pro SP2 32-bit system and MSI Afterburner functions well.

MSI Afterburner offers a version that works with XP, which you might locate via a Google search. An older version is available on your XP machine. For NVIDIA graphics cards, there was a tool called nTune that handled this:

But concerning automatic detection, there wasn't much support for either hardware or software. This is especially true for video cards, as the Windows XP driver setup didn't allow smooth shutdowns, often requiring a system reset if issues arise. Moreover, most GPUs from the early 2010s lacked idle modes or advanced V-F curve systems, meaning their clock speeds weren't adjusted dynamically.
