Question Mouse Skipping. Attempted All Basic Troubleshooting
Hello everyone,
I recently assembled a PC and encountered a problem where my cursor jumps around unpredictably. I’m unsure how to fix it but here are the details of my setup and what I’ve attempted.
PC Specifications:
Motherboard: z690 Aorus Pro
GPU: GIGABYTE RTX 3060 TI
CPU: I7-12700K
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32gb(16x2) 4800 mhz
SSD: Samsung Evo 970 m.2 1tb
Cooler: Corsair H100i Elite Capellix
Mouse: Logitech G602
Keyboard: Razor Huntsman? I forgot.
My motherboard shows no errors and everything functions normally.
What I’ve tried:
- Updated the mouse drive
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the driver
- Used different USB ports
- Tested with another mouse, same issue occurred
- Swapped batteries in each mouse
- Used both mice on a different surface
I would really appreciate any help you can provide.

Updated briefly: I've linked a wired mouse and believe the skipping isn't happening. I'm hoping to resolve this Bluetooth-related problem.

Hast du schon einmal versucht, den Empfänger mit dem Verlängerungskabel näher zu bringen?
Gibt es noch andere kabellose USB-Dongles oder USB-Sticks angeschlossen? Ich hatte einmal einen Microsoft-WLAN-K/M-Dongel mit dem Frontpanel-Header verwendet, musste ihn aber auf die Rückseite verlegen, weil jedes Mal, wenn ich einen USB-Stick anschloss, nicht nur die Maus, sondern auch der Computer reagierte.
It appears the extension cable might be contributing to a similar problem here.
Used Task Manager or Resource Monitor to track system behavior. Initially observed mouse skipping, then no skipping. Experimented with various connections—wired and wireless in multiple configurations. Altered one element at a time to identify changes. Monitored system activity closely during skipping events to detect issues. Also considered using Process Explorer (free) for deeper analysis.
