Okay,
I've never experienced this issue previously.
I'm playing Valorant and I notice what seems like network connection issues. Not frame drops... my FPS never spike or dip.
For a while, I believe my issue is network issues, but I can't figure out why. I have 300+ mbps download.
And then all of a sudden I notice this issue isn't just taking place in game! I can be on my blank desktop without a single application open... just moving my mouse around the screen or casually browsing the internet. The mouse starts lagging around when I move it (it seems like a massive frame drop in just my mouse if that makes sense).
And it is inconsistent. Sometimes it happens nonstop... sometimes it's like there has never been a problem.
It is so strange and SOOOOO annoying.
That is probably my best initial explanation of the issue I am seeing. Now I will explain the troubleshooting I have done to try and diagnose the issue.
The first thing I did was unplug my wireless mouse's dongle and plug it back in... simple but no luck.
Next, I switched the mouse's battery... no solution.
Next, I switched the mouse in general to another wireless mouse with a different dongle. No solution the other mouse does the same exact thing.
At this point, I decided my issue wasn't specific to the mouse itself.
Then I went to the drivers. I entirely uninstalled the Logitech g hub. Uninstalled and reinstalled the Windows mouse drivers. No luck.
Uninstall and reinstall graphics drivers. Nothing.
Frustrated I said whatever and ENTIRELY reset my computer...
usb windows media installation -> whip all my existing drives -> fresh install on my 1tb samsung 980 pro.
Everything seems fine I get Valorant, discord, and a few other programs installed maybe steam. Everything works fine for a while no mouse lag... things are smooth.
And then all of a sudden, open my computer, and BAM there it is again. Just browsing the internet nothing taxing. MOUSE LAG
Okay, now I test hardware.
Samsung ssd magician diagnostic test... says drive is all good.
Intel CPU diagnostic test... passes all tests.
Windows built-in memory test... does full reboot test and comes back with no errors.
The most annoying part is that this happens inconsistently from what I can tell. It's random and I can't pin it down to fix it.
I have exhausted everything I could think of to be causing the issue. Now I turn it over to the experts... ask away I will try my best to explain anything further.
Thank you in advance.

Mouse lag refers to the delay between a user's action and the mouse responding on the screen. This occurs due to processing delays in the computer, affecting smoothness and responsiveness.

I suspect you've also experimented with various USB ports for the device.

Yea... this didn't seem to work, but I'll continue alternating when it happens to verify.

I will attempt to record a video whenever it occurs again.
It seems similar to switching from a 244 hz display to a 10 hz one, but only impacting the mouse.
The issue remains stable on both my 244hz and 165 hz monitors, so I think it’s not directly tied to the screens.

This problem keeps happening occasionally...
Not sure about the next steps.

Consider reducing the polling frequency and observe the results. If it improves, you've got a solid point.

have you also tested using the mice on another type of surface?
certain laser, led, and similar mice models can encounter problems when used on specific plastic or other semi-reflective materials.
