I’ve been struggling to figure out what to do. Running an i5 10040F with 32gbs of RAM and an RTX 2060 is giving me terrible FPS. Used to get 85-100, but lately it’s only 20-30, making it almost impossible to play.

What I’ve tried so far:
- Reverted video drivers 3-4 updates
- Set all settings to low/medium/high
- Turned off all overlays

What’s next?

Also, when I play 2042, my system uses up about 80% of the disk space every time I load and play. Last month it wasn’t that bad; now it always seems like something is loading.

Did you remove all GPU driver traces using DDU and then reinstall the newest Nvidia drivers through an elevated command, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator? What is your PSU model and its age? Which motherboard do you have, along with its BIOS version? Are you currently using Windows 10 or another operating system?

The power supply is two weeks old. The motherboard is available at the link provided. It’s the most recent updated bio version. Windows 10 is currently version 22H2, which was updated about six days ago. I haven’t installed the driver yet but plan to when I get home today. At the auto dealership, they’re handling the 30,000 mile package now, haha.
