Question Low and inconsistent FPS in CS2 @ 1080p?
Hello everyone,
I’m facing fluctuating and low FPS in CS2, generally between 250 and 400 frames per second on my current PC, even when using low to medium settings. On a map with no players, I can reach up to 450 FPS. At 1280x960 resolution in 4:3 format, the gameplay becomes much slower—about an 80-100 FPS drop within a second, which makes it difficult to play. My friends with a 4070 graphics card and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D are achieving 600-700 FPS. I’m not sure what’s causing this difference.
I also worry that my CPU might not be keeping up with the GPU performance. Even though I have around 300 FPS, the game still feels sluggish and lacks smoothness. I use a 360Hz Zowie XL2566 monitor. Could there be an issue affecting these settings?

include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
Do you see the same results when you go for a higher resolution, at 1080p?
