Question Just installed a new PSU but now... ?
The BIOS is current. What program should we use to monitor what we're interested in? I'm uncertain which one to try again. Also, update: this problem is recurring, happening multiple times today, sometimes just a few minutes apart. I don't understand what to check in the event viewer or what the error messages mean, but I noticed red errors in the Windows system section about bugcheck and kernel power.
HWMONITOR will display temperatures, which is exactly what is required. Not all the additional data. Nobody will go through such a large amount.
Temperatures seem fine under mostly idle conditions.
What is the complete make and model of your memory? If you're unsure, you can use CPU-Z to retrieve the details.
How many storage devices are connected? You referred to installing an m.2 SSD—do you have additional ones?
Which operating system is installed?
During the installation of Windows, was your main storage device the only one connected (you should disconnect other devices during setup to prevent system files from being copied to unintended drives)?
It was idle, that's correct. I included a link to the cpu-z screenshot. I only have the m.2 ssd and a SATA bluray optical drive, so it's installed on that ssd. It was the only one running, right? The case fan and PSU fans are fine. Maybe the heatsink is okay since the temperatures seem normal. I'm really confused.
