Question I've received from Microsoft...
Can't log into Office or Teams on my personal PC; the app displays an error code 2603 or a message saying We can't connect you. The same happens when trying to open login.microsoft via Chrome, where I receive an ERR_NETWORK_ACCESS_DENIED error and a comm stating I have no internet access. Other websites or programs function normally. Please let me know if you need assistance.
The issue began when there were no relevant error codes, warnings, or information in Reliability History/Monitor or Event Viewer. Review the Update History for any unsuccessful or problematic updates.
All changes were successfully applied in the Update History. Event logs show "The Network List Manager indicates no internet access" and "A link to the Windows Update service failed." in DeviceSetupManager.
Are there many instances of those "DeviceSetupManager" errors appearing in Event Viewer? Check Custom Views > Administrative Events. I recall a few recent discussions about this error, and my own system had hundreds without any issues. Still, I’ve been reviewing the logs to find the cause. What Event IDs appear? I’m seeing 131, 200, 201, 202... up to 6155 at startup. I cleared the logs using PowerShell just a couple of weeks ago. I’ve noticed a pattern—about 40 minutes apart between errors. Today’s error/warning entries included five consecutive 131 errors, each 40 seconds apart. This started roughly 10 minutes after boot. I’ll keep investigating as time allows. The aim is to align the event log timestamps with actions I know or actions the system performed. = = = =
One quick idea: run "dism" and "sfc /scannow".
