Hello, I’m experiencing an issue where the processor temperatures climb close to 85 degrees during Warzone playthroughs. With stock cooling installed, this seems unusual. Additionally, at 100 fps, the game occasionally drops to 60 frames per second, causing the screen to appear stuttering. My monitor is an AOC G2260VWQ6 with a 75Hz refresh rate. When I enable v-sync at 75Hz, the stuttering persists, which is why I choose not to use v-sync. If I upgraded my CPU cooling, would that improve frame rates or eliminate screen lag? Would stable FPS be achievable? Also, do these temperatures impact overall gameplay performance?

In Warzone, I’ve tested various settings—low, normal, high—but the visual quality remains consistent and stuttering still occurs. I don’t notice any noticeable smoothness in the gameplay.

From what I understand, my system runs an i5-10400F with an Intel Xeon E5-2645 v4 processor, RX 6600 8GB, and a 550W power supply. The GPU is undervolted between 2300-2800MHz.

My specs are:
- i5 10400F
- rx 6600 8GB
- Fighter model
- b560m HDV
- 550W
- 16GB RAM (2x8GB)
- AOC G2260VWQ6 at 75Hz
- GPU voltage range: 2300-2800MHz

My monitor supports a resizable bar.

Could it be that the monitor is the source of the lack of smoothness?

85 isn't terrible. It's advisable to consider a superior cooling system by swapping the original cooler. What is the precise model of your PSU? If you reset all OC parameters (default BIOS settings on the motherboard), does performance enhance?

The issue might not be with the monitor itself but rather related to BIOS settings or system configuration.

at 80-100 frames per second the game lacks smoothness and there are interruptions. 60 hertz is clearly visible on the display.

Running the OS on the HDD slightly reduces performance; switching to an SSD would be preferable.
I don’t like that PSU much. I’d recommend upgrading to a better, higher-quality one.
Disable the undervolting on the GPU and see how it affects results.

Even though the game runs on an SSD, it still causes performance issues. I noticed the game feels slower and the frame rate drops more than expected. Adjusting the settings helped improve the smoothness, but I'm still worried about the FPS. The monitor's FreeSync doesn't prevent stuttering, even at 75 fps.

Yes, using a slow HDD can lead to these kinds of problems.
The best approach is to start from a standard baseline and then adjust settings one by one. This helps avoid missing important configurations and keeps the process smooth.
Beyond this game, how does performance compare with others?
Also, are all major drivers and the motherboard BIOS up to date?

Windows, graphics drivers, and BIOS are all updated. In CS2 FPS is around 300 with fluctuations to 140/130 based on the map, usually about 200 frames. IN League of Legends it runs at 100-144fps. I switched from i3100F to a newer BIOS version. I'm puzzled why the game doesn't look smooth at 75 frames even though freesync/vsync is enabled, and Warzon also shows drops. Is there a solution or should I replace the monitor?

What are the details of your storage units?
Upgrading the monitor won't affect the output from it.
For improved efficiency, consider installing Windows on the SSD, upgrading the CPU cooler, and replacing the PSU first.

The issue might be related to how the freeSync monitor handles refresh rates, affecting the perceived smoothness at 75Hz.
