Question: High temperatures during operation
Question: High temperatures during operation
Hey!
Following my previous discussion,
I purchased the NH-D15S as a replacement for my cooling system, aiming to lower the temperatures my PC reaches during gaming or when CPU usage is high.
The outcome was that with the tower's case closed, temperatures often climbed above 80°C and failed to drop below it even under stress, even at 40% CPU load.
This led me to experiment with an open case setup as shown here (I found online that this isn't harmful). It appears the airflow in my case is the main concern, but I have no clear solution other than replacing the case.
I’m certain the problem lies with the case’s airflow, as I’ve tracked temperatures with both closed and open cases. The thermal paste is applied properly, the PC is clean, and the room temperature isn’t unusually high.
The PC specs remained unchanged except for the cooler, which is mentioned in my old post.
Should I invest in a new case? How can I be sure it will keep temperatures low?
Also, I’m struggling to pinpoint the exact issue—did I buy incompatible parts or is the case simply lacking good airflow from the start? Thanks!
this wouldn't be a fixed configuration, simply place it openly (in the middle of the floor, etc.) with adequate ventilation to check if temperatures stabilize.
