One week ago, my CPU began to overheat. I replaced the cooling system and it initially resolved this issue; however, subsequently, my PC began experiencing frequent microfreezes. These freezes were noticeable both on the desktop and within games, resulting in an overall lack of smoothness. Specifically, despite achieving high frame rates in games, the experience felt disjointed with frequent glitches resembling network lag despite a stable internet connection. Yesterday, I performed a full system reset and launched CSGO, still encountering persistent lag with one microfreeze occurring approximately every minute. To address performance issues, I adjusted CPU power consumption settings in the registry by enabling Core Parking. Unfortunately, this worsened the situation dramatically, leading to constant glitching, stuttering, and freezes lasting up to two seconds. Disabling Core Parking did not alleviate the problem; I continue to experience severe lag. My PC specifications are: i7 7700k, RTX 1080 Ti ROG, 16GB RAM, and a new SSD installed in September. What steps should I take next?

what kind of power supply and model do you have?
how much storage space is remaining on your solid-state drive?
what are the temperatures and usage of your central processing unit and graphics card while playing games?
run a malware scan on the system.

CPU is around 60°C, GPU is around 60°C as well. The SSD has 198GB free out of a 250GB capacity. I performed a malware scan with Malwarebyte and it found nothing.
