Question frame creation performance dropped significantly beyond double the baseline.
I own a 4070 Ti 12900k PC paired with a 1080p monitor. At the end, I achieve 240-280 FPS when frame generation is enabled, which is typical. However, when I power it off, my FPS drops to 100-120, which feels unexpected. My friend with a 4060 Ti and 1440p display manages 144+ FPS without frame generation in the same game. Could this be due to a CPU bottleneck? I’m using an air cooler for my 12900k and only connected the 4+4 PCIe cable, though it’s not perfect—still around 100 FPS?
Hello there,
Are you using DLSS or not? That could explain it.
What resolution does your screen have?
Which cooler are you running? If the CPU is slowing down, you might see lower frame rates.
I confirmed my resolution is 1080p. I'm running the thermalright peerless assassin 120 SE.
