Today I began playing the new Assassins Creed Shadows and occasionally, around 30 minutes, a white screen flickers on one side of the display, either the left or right side showing a white "flash" with some green squares. I’m unsure if this is related to the game, the monitor, or my GPU.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!
When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.
dont know if is the game causing the problem , the monitor or my gpu.
Have you taxed the system with another title?

Do you rely on the game's default configurations or have you adjusted them personally?

Custom settings suggested the game's recommended options, adjusting high and I to ultra while changing some to med.

And yes, I've tried it with other games and nothing happened. By now I've used ddu, installed fresh drivers, connected the GPU via underbolt, checked temperatures and artifacts with furmark, turned off free sync on the monitor (sometimes conflicts with AMD cards), reduced graphics settings, and disabled ray tracing. Tomorrow I'm going to change my dp cable to see if that resolves the issue.
