How much do GPU drivers influence the decision to select the appropriate GPU? I'm curious about how AMD 6000 series, NVIDIA 3000 and future Intel ARC support impact Blender and Octane. It seems Nvidia uses CUDA while AMD uses HIP. Should upcoming Intel ARC support offer GPU acceleration for Blender?

never influenced my decision about a graphics card.
i consistently opt for the performance required to handle the games i plan to play, considering the resolutions and settings i desire.
price comparisons are important, as well as the cooling solutions available.

Hi
I tried it with three videos, cutting their size in half. (I couldn’t adjust the resolution because the video was already in 360.) It works fine in that regard, considering there are no watermarks. Now the challenge is when I have five or more videos to reduce. Is there a method to simply copy and paste five videos, drag them, click OK, and save them? Then when I return home, I should see five smaller videos instead of having to re-import each one. Right now it feels like a bit of manual work. If there’s an option to automatically paste the five videos and confirm, that would be much better.

drivers and hardware options for image rendering differ.
for particular hardware inquiries related to rendering, consider exploring further and forming a dedicated discussion around those technologies.
this thread won’t provide comprehensive answers due to its limited scope.

I wasn't aware of this before. With the release of Blender 3.0, AMD added the HIP runtime API and took away OpenCL support. They mentioned you'd need a new driver to work with Blender 3.0, so I assumed that driver would include the API.
