Question Driver Overrun Stack Buffer
Question Driver Overrun Stack Buffer
Hello! I recently built my system and encountered problems with Chrome and Edge crashing while watching YouTube. Neither app had pending updates, but I noticed a BIOS update for my motherboard. After updating, I experienced a continuous BSOD with codes like Driver_Overran_Stack-Buffer, ACPI.SYS, Page_Fault in nonpaged-Areas, and Kernel Errors. I tried booting into safe mode to protect my system but couldn’t access the minidump files. It’s my first build, and it has run smoothly for three months now. I’m unsure how to fix the driver issue—do I need to replace a hardware component? I’ve powered down the unit, unplugged all cables, drives, fans, and pumps, but nothing seems to work. I’m not sure where to start. Online advice suggests booting into safe mode, but that won’t help me retrieve the necessary files. I’m feeling really stuck and would appreciate any guidance!
But I noticed there was a recent BIOS update for my motherboard. Update your post with full system hardware details and operating system information. No beeps or diagnostic lights, etc.? Unplug it. Open the case. Clear out dust and debris. Use a bright flashlight to thoroughly check for any damage. Where did you find this update and where did you obtain it? I don’t expect you to need to replace any parts unless there’s a serious issue. Consider a clean Windows installation. https://forums.
