Hey there. I'm dealing with a strange problem on my family member's PC. It seems the issue is linked to a USB Wi-Fi dongle. I'm using Windows 10 with all the latest updates. Recently, whenever the computer tries to connect to the USB Wi-Fi adapter for online access, the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar changes from showing 4 bars to a disconnected globe. After that, it reverts to 4 bars, then the whole system freezes and eventually triggers a BSOD with a DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION error. I can use the PC normally when connected via a LAN cable. But once I plug in the USB Wi-Fi dongle, it freezes and crashes, followed by another BSOD. I tried a new Netgear Wi-Fi dongle, but it still freezes and crashes every time I try to browse the internet. It always reports a DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION error when it fails. As soon as I remove the dongle and restart the computer, everything works perfectly—whether online or offline, as long as I use a LAN cable. Whenever I connect any USB Wi-Fi antenna, it causes a BSOD with the same error. I have 16GB of RAM, an Intel Core i7-6800K processor, and a GIGABYTE GA-X99-Ultra Gaming motherboard. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

It's not the usb port. I tried the wifi dongle in four different ports, and no other usb device caused problems in any of them.
