Question CSGO & Valorant frame drops
Question CSGO & Valorant frame drops
PC specifications include an I9-10850k processor, MSI gaming trio 3090, Asus prime Z490-A, Galahad AIO 360, Trident royal 4x8 with 32GB at 4000mhz, Samsung 970 evo plus 500gb and 1tb. During gameplay in CSGO or Valorant, performance drops to 500-600 frames initially, then frames fall to 10-20 over 30-60 seconds. Both Tarkov and COD support maximum refresh rates; any assistance would be appreciated.
Welcome to the forums, new member! Please verify your PSU make and model to ensure compatibility with the latest BIOS for your motherboard. Next, confirm the Windows 10 version you're using—we're currently on 20H2. If your system is up-to-date, obtain the newest drivers from Nvidia's support page and remove your GPU drivers via DDU. Reinstall the updated drivers through an elevated command prompt, such as right-clicking the installer and selecting Run as Administrator. Keep monitoring your platform temperatures, CPU load, and GPU usage during frame drops.
Do these regional matches (CS:GO) require the ability of online platforms with sufficient bandwidth and stability to maintain 500-600 frames per second?
They’re all local and I started CSGO with uncapped frames and 126 tick rate servers, and I’m not bothered because I notice a minor decrease in frames from 500 to 300, but once it hits 500 again and then drops to 10fps, I’d prefer it to work smoothly.
