I've been messing with the BIOS settings for a few days now and I'm using the CPU Voltage option set to Auto right now, which means my core voltage sits at 1.280V when idle and drops down to 1.224V when it's under load. I'm running an Intel Core i7-10700K clocked at 5GHz with no AVX offset, and things seem fine so far. But the voltage readings I keep getting from my software are always around 1.432V. That makes me confused because when I change the setting to Manual instead of Auto, drop it down to a specific value of 1.3V in the BIOS, my monitoring software still shows 1.1V every single time. It crashes under load even though the auto voltage works fine without crashing. Even if I switch that option up to Level 5 or Level 6 in the BIOS, it still reads at 1.1V with manual settings. The BIOS doesn't have a built-in SVID setting for this so I'm stuck doing what's normally done since putting the CPU on its best possible voltage would crash my system anyway. Basically: Manual voltage doesn't work (setting 1.3 in BIOS gives readings of around 1.1V in monitoring software), while Auto voltage works fine and shows a reading of about 1.28V. Motherboard: Asus Prime Z490M-PLUS

You often see that not enough power causes things to shake up, freeze, or reboot. If you add more power, the system gets back on track and runs smoothly. That's why we check numbers from every app to know what kind of electricity is hitting our parts. Intel used to be known for using too much power than shown, so at first it looks low but actually climbs up when opening the GUI. Try turning voltage up a little bit until you feel stable; if not, start with the highest number you saw in AUTO and go down slowly until instability comes back. But what BIOS version are you running?

The max voltage my auto mode gives me is 1.28V when it's idle, but that goes down to 1.224V when I use a load. Even though I tried setting the manual voltage exactly to 1.28, the results stayed low, sometimes as low as 1.11~. My BIOS version is 0321, dated 21/02/2020.
