Question CORSAIR TX650M sufficient for 4070ti?

Hey there,
I recently purchased a 4070ti Gigabyte Eagle and am checking if my Corsair TX650M can work with it. The manual mentions that the 4080 requires a 'One 16 pin to triple 8-pin power adaptor,' while the 4070ti needs a 'One 16-pin to two 8-pin power adaptor.' My TX650M has two cables each with two 6+2 PCIe pins. I’m also told it’s the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti EAGLE 12G, which is a 650-watt PSU certified by 80 Plus. Thanks for your assistance!

Hello! Your question is about the age of the power supply unit in question. If you had considered only the wattage, the answer would have been different; the recommended PSU for that wattage is a 750W model.

I've been using a Vega 64 for four years, and the suggested power supply wattage is 750W. In reality, it uses a bit more power (295W for Vega and 285W for 4070ti). I'm mainly concerned about the PCI-E cables and safety aspects.

Don't anticipate serious issues while attempting this. Ensure you connect both PCIe power cables and use the first connector for each component.

I've been pairing the TX650M with the 4070ti EAGLE GIGABYTE for a month, and everything is working perfectly! No crashes and stable temperatures. My CPU is an i5-12400.

It should function properly, though I dislike being near high power sources.
I run a gaming rig consuming 510 watts on a 4070TI.

Estimate of total system power is reasonable. This value is taken from the wall outlet, but it's probably too high for the actual usage since energy efficiency matters. Considering the gold rating of a TXM, the PC consumes around 90% of that figure.
