Since the previous Wednesday I’ve experienced unexpected computer shutdowns while playing games, streaming videos, or performing stress tests. The audio frequently cuts out during black screens and I’ve had to restart my machine manually to restore functionality. After researching similar problems, I suspect the issue could be related to my GPU driver. I used a DDU, removed the drivers, reinstalled them, and left the computer running overnight without issues. Here are my system details; in the event viewer I’ve observed this error repeatedly since the incidents. The system has rebooted from a bugcheck. The specific error code was: 0x00000116 (0xffffcb815af4e460, 0xfffff8012683fe60, 0xffffffffc000009a, 0x0000000000000004). A dump was saved at: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP. Report ID: 4101d5c7-50c0-40a1-a819-149ed78f25b2.

The only alternative I considered was repositioning the GPU, disconnecting and reconnecting the power cords, and also updating my BIOS to the newest version. However, if my computer remained on throughout the night reinstalling the GPU drivers without any shutdown problems, it suggests the issue might be driver-related. I have already completed a scan for damaged files, which detected and fixed them.
