Hi,
I recently received a 6950xt and performed an RMA on a 2015 Corsair RM1000X due to coil whining at idle and unusual sounds during certain games. The replacement unit was a 2021 RM1000X, but both now produce louder noises under load. I've shared videos on YouTube showing the issue, which is really bothersome.

GPU link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9oMVhh56A8

I've tested the cables with the PSU and upgraded to premium Corsair cables, but the problem persists. Undervolting and adjusting power limits didn't help, and overclocking the GPU only worsened the situation. My FPS is capped at 144fps.

GPU temperatures are around 60-70°C, with a hotspot of 80-85°C—usually about 20°C higher than normal, reaching over 25°C. Should I request an RMA for both devices, or is the PSU likely responsible for the GPU noise?

Thanks.

Your video appears unavailable on YT and there is no discussion on this forum. You may want to use an A4 sheet, roll it into a cylinder, and hold one end near your ear while the other checks for the noise source. Recently I received a 6950xt. What GPU did you have before? When sharing a troubleshooting thread, it's standard to provide full system specifications. Please list them clearly: CPU, CPU cooler, motherboard, RAM, SSD/HDD, GPU, power supply, chassis, operating system, monitor, and include the age of the PSU along with its make and model. Also, note the BIOS version for your motherboard at this time.

Thank you for your response. Video connections should now be stable; previously I had incorrect settings and it was still problematic. Please inform me if the issue persists.

I have shared another clip about the PSU noise. Both the PSU and GPU seem to be producing the same sound in sync. In this recording, I'm moving the mouse while playing GTA V at 144fps. The PSU noise appears louder than the GPU's. Would this suggest a faulty PSU instead of the GPU? Getting another PSU through RMA might resolve the problem? Thanks.
