I notice discussions about streaks, blotches, or loose toner but not issues with uneven printing or banding. If I printed a full sheet of 100% black, you'd see it transition from black to grey and back like a wave. The roller was cleaned with isopropyl alcohol, the wire was cleaned with that slider tool, and the cartridge was shaken. Same results. What else could be causing this? Maybe the cartridge is just old.

Light Print (partial).
Carefully shake and reinstall the print cartridges, ensuring the cover is tightly secured. This may indicate the cartridge is nearing emptiness and will require replacement soon.
When observing light areas as strips along the paper movement direction (as shown in the image), the laser or scanner optics might be slightly dirty. If one side of a page appears lighter, verify the mechanical alignment between the cartridges, drum(s) (if separate from the cartridge), and transfer components. This situation could also point to high voltage issues.
Should the contacts appear intact, the high voltage power supply may be faulty. Examine the surfaces of imaging elements—such as the cartridges, transfer roller or belt, and even the fuser—for any visible damage matching the light area on the page.

I don't recognize an image, but it seems like this might be copied from elsewhere.
