Hello everyone.
Here’s what I’m using and my computer details.
Microphones: Blue Yeti Blackout, Tonor Q9
Both are attached to a boom arm connected to a wooden table.
My room is quiet—no TVs or background noise.
PC Specifications:
Operating System: Windows 10
Cooler: Corsair H100i Elite
Processor: Ryzen 3900x
Graphics Card: MSI RTX 3060
Memory: G Skill Trident Z 3600MHz
Storage: x570 Aorus Elite
External Drive: 1TB Samsung 980 Pro
External Drive: 500GB Samsung 970 Evo
Case: Lian Li Dynamic
Cooling: 9 Corsair LL 120
Last night I played with friends and they mentioned my mic (Tonor Q9) was producing this strange sound. I checked the audio in Discord and here’s what it sounds like. (Ignore the footsteps and door opening—just the game)

This is identical to the noise my Blue Yeti began making a few weeks ago.
What I’ve tried so far:
- Adjusted mic volume in Windows to around 80%-85% for both mics
- Lowered gain on each microphone
- Tested different USB ports and removed all USB devices from the PC (using only motherboard slots)
- Ensured all drivers are up to date
- Cleared the PC and reinstalled Windows 10
- Set fans to silent mode, suspecting they might be the source
I’m still puzzled as to why both mics are emitting the same sound.
If none of these work, any recommendations under £100–£200 would be great.
Thanks in advance for your help—let me know if you need more details.

Cleaned the PC and performed a fresh Windows 10 installation.
Did you recreate the bootable USB using Windows Media Creation Tools before updating the operating system?
What BIOS version is installed on your motherboard? The details about the PSU make and model were omitted.
The age of the power supply unit was not specified.
